Purpose: The American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers Instructor course is to train instructors to teach the basic-level American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers courses.
Prerequisites
Candidates must:
• Be at least 17 years old on or before the final scheduled session of the course.
• Possess a current basic-level certification in CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers
• Successfully complete the online Introduction to the CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers Instructor Course prior to the precourse skills session.
• Obtain all instructor and participant materials before entering the first session of the instructor course
Length
The CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers Instructor Course is offered in a blended learning format that includes:
• Online Introduction: Approximately 2 hours
• Instructor Course: 15 hours, 10 minutes (includes precourse skills session)
